Pest Alert is designed to monitor an area with your device camera and record video clips when motion is detected. This Privacy Policy explains what the app accesses, how data is handled, and what control you have over recordings created by the app.
Information the app accesses
- Camera access is used to monitor the selected area and detect motion.
- Recorded video clips are stored locally on your device.
- Motion-track metadata used for playback overlay is stored locally on your device.
- If you choose to save a clip to your gallery, the selected video is copied to your device gallery.
How your data is handled
Pest Alert processes motion detection on the device. The app does not require an account, does not upload your recordings, and does not transmit video clips or motion metadata to the developer or to third parties.
Data collection and sharing
Pest Alert does not collect, sell, or share personal data, recorded videos, or motion metadata with the developer or third parties.
Permissions used
- Camera: used to detect motion and record clips.
- Foreground service / wake lock: used to keep monitoring active while the app is running.
- Storage and media handling where applicable: used for local file storage and gallery export on supported Android versions.
Retention and deletion
- Recordings remain on your device until you delete them from the app or remove the app.
- Videos you save to the gallery are managed by you in your device gallery or file manager.
Children
Pest Alert is not designed specifically for children.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If the policy changes, the updated version will be published at this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
